Brussels (Belgium) - Icograda encorses the 4th NAGOYA DESIGN DO! Competition, an international event featuring innovative and inspirational works representing the 'intangible.'
Brussels (Belgium) - The 4th NAGOYA DESIGN DO! Competition has received Icograda's endorsement.* Following the theme 'Invisible Scents,' this international event will feature innovative and inspirational works representing the 'intangible' things we sense around us. NAGOYA DESIGN DO! targets young designers from around the globe and will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and develop their technical and creative skills. The competition is organised by the International Design Center NAGOYA Inc. and the awards ceremony and exhibition will be held in early November 2004.

Participants of this year's competition will be challenged to create a design that captures the 'scent' of a thought, emotion or phenomenon of interest. This 'scent' may represent a warning, a sign or feeling that enlightens us about our surroundings. Applicants can enter one work as an individual or group, provided that each individual is under 40 years of age as of 31 March 2004. Winning works will be awarded prizes and the artists will be invited to an interactive workshop with well-known designers. Applications for first judging will be accepted from 1 March to 31 March 2004.

Located in the center of Japan and boasting a population of 2.19 million people, Nagoya reveres its heritage of long-standing traditions.
