BIDC's Director Chen Dongliang receives China's highest national citizen award

Beijing (China) - On 27 April, Mr. Chen Dongliang, Director of the Beijing Industrial Design Center (BIDC), was granted the the 2010 National Advanced Workers Medal for his outstanding contribution in the field of China’s design. This is the highest award to a citizen granted by the government, recognising those who have made a great contribution to China.
Beijing (China) - On 27 April, Mr. Chen Dongliang, Director of the Beijing Industrial Design Center (BIDC), was granted the the 2010 National Advanced Workers Medal for his outstanding contribution in the field of China’s design. This is the highest award to a citizen granted by the government, recognising those who have made a great contribution to China.

The award ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People. Major national leaders including President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao attended the ceremony and presented the medals to awarded representatives. Mr. Chen is the first person in China’s design field to be awarded this honour.
