Be inspired, get connected and evolve at the second edition of Vuoden Huiput Creative Festival! ico-D is pleased to endorse this Member organised event, created by Grafia - Association of Graphic Designers in Finland which takes place 1 March 2018 in Helsinki.
Vuoden Huiput Festival is here to wake up your creativity! The event gathers together Finnish and foreign forerunners from various creative practices. During the one-day festival you will hear high level keynote speakers and discussions, embrace your creativity at tailored hands-on sessions and meet some of the most forward-thinking minds of the field. Shortlist of Vuoden Huiput Competition will be announced at the festival and the jurors will shed light on the selection process.
At the Vuoden Huiput Festival you’ll be inspired by creative talks, encounters and workshops as well as network with other creative professionals. The objectives for the festival include raising the quality of design in Finland, strenghtening creativity and originality and providing a platform for networking and professional development.
The programme consists of keynote speeches, presentations, workshops and discussions. Already confirmed speakers include Eike König (HORT), Alexandra Taylor, Wang & Söderström and Gilles & Cecilie. Full programme will be released in February 2018. In addition to the one day festival, a 2 day workshop will be organised during the following days, led by D&AD President's awarded, acclaimed art director Alexandra Taylor. About ico-D Endorsements
Each year, ico-D endorses a select group of international activities that advance our objective to promote the value of design. Endorsed events demonstrate that they enhance the standards of design, ethics and professional practice. For design awards, an ico-D endorsement is recognition that it has been organised to meet international best practice guidelines under ico-D’s policies and best practices – including jury composition, evaluation criteria and intellectual property protection.
