GraficEurope, the first conference for the pan-European graphic design profession, has received Icograda's endorsement.
Brussels (Belgium) - GraficEurope, the first conference for the pan-European graphic design profession, has received Icograda's endorsement. The event aims to gather a broad spectrum of designers from Europe and around the world to address the opportunities and threats facing the graphic design profession today. Keynote speakers include Stefan Sagmeister, Peter Saville, Wim Crouwel and Kyle Cooper. The conference will be held 27-29 March 2003 at the Catalonia Palace of Congresses in Barcelona and is organised by RotoVision, the visual arts publisher renowned for its high-quality books for professionals in graphic design.

GraficEurope answers a demand for a high level professional conference that draws on the skills and experience of practitioners from around the world. Says RotoVision publisher Aidan Walker: 'Our speakers will be looking at ideas such as reviving ethical awareness in design practice, the nature of creative collaboration, the blurring of boundaries between traditional design disciplines as new technologies make new demands and new possibilities, and getting to the very heart of the creative process.'

The conference will include an exhibition of work from the most innovative and imaginative young designers in the world and a 'Resource Centre' featuring the latest services, technologies and materials from exhibiting companies. During the conference, delegates can attend evening parties and participate in studio and design tours in and around Barcelona. The three-day event will be sure to inspire and invigorate designers.
