ATHENS 2004: DESIGNING THE OLYMPIC GAMES!

Istanbul (Turkey) - In 2004, Athens will host the Olympic Games. Mrs. Theodora Mantzaris will showcase the Corporate Identity programme that has been developped to support and give a face to this worldwide event.
Istanbul (Turkey) - In 2004, Athens will host the Olympic Games. Mrs. Theodora Mantzaris will showcase the Corporate Identity programme that has been developped to support and give a face to this worldwide event. She will lead the audience backstage and explain all the implications, constraints and challenges faced by the designers during that amazing project.

Theodora Mantzaris Kindel is the Manager of the Image & Identity department in the Organising Committee for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games.

Prior to her appointment at ATHOC she worked in London for ten years, for multinational companies such as Addison, Landor and Wolff Olins, designing the strategy for the corporate identity of organizations such as Portugal Telecom, Reemtsma, UBS, Airtel, AVE (Alta Velocidad Espana), Gas Natural, Bank of Cyprus and the British Tea Council.

She studied at Ravensbourne College and got a Master of Arts in Graphic Design and Art Direction from the Royal College of Art in London, under an Onassis Foundation Scholarship. She also has a Postgraduate degree in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing at Guildhall University, and has attended an Executive Course in Leadership at Harvard University.

She is a member of the UK Designers & Art Directors Association since 1990.

About the Icograda Design Week in Istanbul:
The two-day 'Building Bridges' seminar is part of the Icograda Design Week in Istanbul (Turkey), from 27 to 31 January 2004.
Held on 30 and 31 January, this seminar is free of charge but registration is requested. Seats will be given on a 'first come, first served' basis. It will bring together designers from Australia, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, China (Hong Kong), Denmark, Great Britain, Greece, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Russia, South Korea and Turkey to share their experiences and influences from their own regions. The seminar will showcase new perspectives on the diversity of graphic design today.
