Exhibit your “Design Dialect”

2013 IDA Congress Istanbul invites universities and NGOs to participate in the exhibition by showcasing the results of design projects or workshops that explore the "Design Dialects" theme.  Workshops and projects should be organised locally in the months leading to the 2013 IDA Congress.  Results will be exhibited at 2013 IDA Congress Istanbul Fair & Exhibition which will be organised on 15-17 November in Istanbul Congress Center as a sub-event of the main congress.

This exhibition and fair will be the global showcase of design where companies, universities, NGOs and individuals will exhibit their design projects and design workshops.

For more information about how to participate, please visit the congress website.

Share your ‘Real’ Design Stories To Inspire Others

Individuals are invited to submit their "real" design stories for breakout sessions during the 2013 IDA Congress professional program.  Continuing to explore the "Design Dialects" theme, practicing designers in different parts of the world are invited to share their "real stories" - those not usually captured by portfolio presentations.

To reveal the personal dialects of different designers from different parts of the world, Real Design Stories: Personal Dialects breakout sessions will take place during the 2013 IDA Congress professional program in a 15-minute presentation format.

About the International Design Alliance (IDA) and its partners
Established in 2003, by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) and the International Council of Communication Design (Icograda), the International Design Alliance (IDA) is a strategic venture between the international organisations representing design. The IDA serves as the collective voice for all disciplines, advocating the mutual interest of all design professions. In September 2008, the IDA welcomed the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) to the alliance as the third partner.

The IDA Partners have previously held individual biennial congresses and together they organised a 'Joint Congress' every six years, including the following locations: 1981 – Helsinki (Finland), 1987 – Amsterdam (the Netherlands), 1993 – Glasgow (Scotland), 1999 – Sydney (Australia), 2005 – Copenhagen (Denmark). In 2011, the 'IDA Congress' replaced the individual biennial and joint congresses. The new model was launched in Taipei [Taiwan, (Chinese Taipei)].
