Mission Design Celebrates Innovation in Design, Architecture and Planning

Montréal (Canada) - The Icograda Secretariat had the pleasure of welcoming Mervyn Kurlansky, Icograda Past President (2003 - 2005), as well as Icograda Member Yury Nazarov, president of The Association of Designers of Russia for brief visits. Mervyn and Yury were in Montreal due to their involvement in the Graphic Design and Multidisciplinary Design Juries of Facteur D - a Mission Design initiative in its first iteration. Also on the Jury, for Interior Design - Shashi Caan, President, International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI).

Facteur D 2012 featured 47 leading-edge project presentations, acknowledged for their celebration of the economic and social value that investment in quality architecture, design and planning can bring. These projects demonstrate the key role that architecture, design and planning play as development factors today.

The Facteur D Graphic Design award was presented to STM and Sid Lee for the project Mouvement collective: new branding for STM.
