Tehran (Iran) - Persianissimo, an exhibition of contemporary Iranian graphic designers' works, is now touring the world, displaying posters selected by Majid Abbasi, member of the Iranian Graphic Designers Society and Member and co-founder of Neshan, Iranian Graphic Design Magazine.

First displayed in Colorado State University during the 16th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition (2009), 28 posters by 28 Iranian designers, selected by Majid Abbasi, were displayed in Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition is now part of the permanent collection in Colorado State University and it is to be displayed in other universities and galleries in near future.

This is the first group exhibition held in North America in which 28 designers from the contemporary generation are present. It is significant in both the number of the participants and variety of designers. The exhibition is being updated regularly; more designers are joining in and it is becoming more flexible concerning the volume of the displayed works.

Persianissimo is a considerable outcome of Iran's contemporary poster design which presents to its audience a wide range of contemporary poster design in Iran. This collection could be exhibited anywhere in the world with the cooperation of museums, galleries, art centers, associations, schools and relevant departments. Presenting this collection will be of great help to make Iran's contemporary poster design known out of Iran.

The word Persianissimo is a blend of issimo from the Italian language which is derived from music and its concept id known all over the world.
