Design Currrency 2010: New speakers announced

Vancouver (Canada) - Design Currency: Icograda Design Week in Vancouver 2010 is delighted to add four more exceptional design leaders to the programme. They will be part of the series of presentations and conversations built around the Design Currency themes of Culture, Commerce and Communications.

They will be part of the series of presentations and conversations built around the Design Currency themes of Culture, Commerce and Communications.



Tony Golsby-Smith (Australia)
Tony Golsby-Smith is the founder and CEO of Second Road Pty Ltd, as well as the architect of the tools and methods that lie at the heart of firm. He combines the arts of language, design and creative thinking to help transform corporate cultures through strategic innovation. Tony is primarily an advisor to boards, chief executives and senior leadership teams, training them in further developing strategic innovation skills and helping them create compelling corporate strategy.



Oscar Peña (The Netherlands)
The Global Senior Creative Director for Lighting at Philips Design, and the Creative Design Manager of the Consumer Lifestyle group, Oscar oversees everyday design projects and strategic design initiatives, particularly for lighting, kitchen appliances and consumer lifestyle products. He worked at Bill Stumpf & Associates and Seitz Yamamoto Moss in the USA before joining Philips Design in 1987.



Cameron Sinclair (United States)
In 1999, Cameron Sinclair co-founded Architecture for Humanity, bringing design services to communities in need. Alongside co-founder Kate Stohr, he compiled the first ever compendium on socially conscious design entitled "Design Like You Give A Damn: Architectural Responses to Humanitarian Crises". He has taught at the University of Minnesota and Montana State University and lectures regularly at schools in the United States and abroad.



Lise Vejse Klint (Denmark)
Lise has been the Program Director for INDEX: Design to Improve Life since 2006, is a member of the jury for the Shanghai EXPO 2010's Danish Pavilion and sits on a Danish government committee that focuses on raising achievement in higher education. She is a member of the UN's Design21 Advisory Board and a board member of the Danish Arts Foundation.
