Judging Criteria
Print entries will be judged for excellence in concept, design, illustration, typography, and printing, as well as effectiveness, quality, and creativity in solving the problems inherent in institutional design.

Electronic Media entries will be judged for appearance, flexibility, interactivity and suitability for their intended audiences. Creativity in solving the problems of designing for electronic media is primary. Work accepted for the show will receive Awards of Excellence or Silver Certificates. A select number of entries will be honored with the UCDA Gold Cube. Presentation of awards will be at the 38th Annual UCDA Design Conference in Savannah, Georgia in October.

Going Green
The competition has three green categories:
47. Message (Message on sustainability as part of overall communications)
48. Production (Statement of recycled paper, soy ink, etc., printed on piece)
49. Reduction (Alternate sources used instead of printing. e.g., online newsletter, electronic information, etc.)

In addition to being judged for excellence in concept, design, illustration, typography, and printing, as well as effectiveness, quality, and creativity in solving the problems inherent in institutional design, the judges are looking for entrants who take initiative in the creation of communications that reduce environmental impact and/or make strong statements of leadership in this area. Please complete the second half of Entry Form B for categories 47 through 49.
