Position

Programme Officer, the International Council of Design (ico-D). Full-time (5 days per week)


Description

ico-D is seeking a new Programme Officer.

The Programme Officer will take over a variety of project management duties relating to the management of ico-D’s relationship with a major corporate client, principally managing the judging and mentoring elements of the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). The role will also be responsible for the operation of ico-D Work Groups (WGs) and annual events such as Platform Meetings (PMs).

Skills/ Qualifications

  • Cultural awareness/ diplomacy (international experience a plus)
  • Undergraduate degree, Project Management experience and/or certification an asset
  • Languages: high-level English proficiency required and other languages an asset
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised
  • Knowledge of managing projects and programs including project planning, vendor and stakeholder management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet strict deadlines
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to adapt
  • Account management experience a plus
  • Presentation and report writing skills an asset
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector an advantage
  • Understanding of American corporate environments a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe tools (Creative Cloud)
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite an asset
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Slack, Basecamp and Adobe Connects an asset
  • Comfortable in Microsoft Office (Mac and PC environments)
  • Leadership skills
  • Social media savvy
     

Tasks

  • Recruiting international panels of judges, pre-selection panellists and mentors
  • Responsible for the operation, management and development of online judging tools and management systems
  • Managing onsite judging assignments
  • Event management
  • Leading off-site teams through weekly meetings
  • Reporting and measuring metrics and program performance
  • Presenting at events
  • Writing reports and conducting research
  • Contributing to program strategy
  • Develop content aimed at various audiences (students, education institutions, business and ico-D Members)
  • Availability for out of hours work
